Fancy Pants Perforated Card Album

I wanted to share this awesome gift idea with you, Perforated Card book. The original idea was designed by Lynne of Scrappin' Ladies in Pierre and she taught it at the recent Rushmore retreat. I lifted the idea from her and put Angie Walter to work designing a Fancy Pants Christmas Card book. She did an amazing job and it's just as fun and cute as can be, and it's such a wonderful gift idea for those who don't make cards but would love the chance to send them. Fancy Pants makes these cards sheets in every line that they come out with, we have the card sheet in Daily Grind, Arctic Chill, and Splendid line. I would love to make one using the Splendid line. We still have several kits available, if you are interested, just give us call at 721-7529.

I made this one yesterday and it was just a fun little project that went together in a couple of hours. It contains 8 cards that are perforated, all you do is tear them out when you need one, and away you go. This is the cover...
Card 1
Card 2

Card 3

Card 4
Card 5

Card 6 Card 7

Card 8

All you need is cardstock, 6 x 8 1/2, to make your card. A regular card is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. These one's you just add an extra 1/2 inch for the perforation. Use a self healing craft mat, a metal ruler and a perforater. We used the Tonic perforater. Measure in a half inch on the left side of your card, firmly hold down the ruler, and run the perforater along the ruler. Perfect. That's all there is to it...continue with the rest of your card. Punch 2 holes with the Crop a dile. Design your cards and put in the order you would like inside the chipboard covers, add a couple book rings...tie some envelopes inside the back cover and you have the perfect gift. If you keep it for yourself, after you have used up the cards...you can make it into a mini album. So much fun! The possibilities are endless. I think it would be fun to make one for birthday's and list the birthday on the inside cover, have them all done and ready to go for the whole year. It would make a wonderful gift, too!!! Have fun and create!!!

Holiday Cards

Just thought I would share some Holiday cards that I made on Monday, my day off, (oh, how I love that). It was the perfect day for card making, overcast and cold. I played in my room most of the day. My perfect little hide out for when the rest of the world is more than I can take.

Flower punches and some papers from Pink Paislee's Tinsel Town and Sweet Cakes! Simple and cute!!!
Pink Paislee's Tinsel Town Stripe and chipboard snowflakes from Bazzill.
Repeat!!!
Basic Grey Snowmen from a couple of years ago, but timeless!!!
Fancy Pants Arctic Chill...still in total love with this line...at least until I get time to play with the Splendid line, also from Fancy Pants.

Another card using Arctic Chill and the cutest stamp from Close to My Heart. The stamp set is still available, I think, contact Michelle Chikos for more info.
This is the little pullout that goes in the pocket (below).
And here's the pocket. The stamps and the papers are so cute together. Love the pinks and blues. So adorable!

So,for those of you that know me, you know that I don't enjoy Christmas Card making very much, Halloween and Valentine's are much more my thing, but I did have a great time making these and just creating. There are so many wonderful Christmas Paper lines this year...fun, nontraditional colors. Pinks, teals, and greens. Very different but very inspiring. Give the new colors a try and just see where it takes you!!! Happy creating!!
