Scrummage Sale and new products!!!

Hope every one's week is off to a great start! I thought I would share some photos, new products and events coming up soon at the store with you.

We will be hosting our First Annual Scrummage Sale, Friday evening, August 22 and Saturday, August 23. All you have to do is call us to reserve a spot for your stuff, we will assign you a number, you number and mark you items for the price you want, bring it in and we will take care of the selling for you. In return, you will receive a gift certificate to the store for the amount you sell! A fun way to clean out your stash and get some credit for all the fun new items to come at the store. You can bring in stamps, papers, embellishments, books, magazines...anything paper crafting related. It should be fun! We will open it to our customers on Friday evening and we will place an ad in the garage sales for all to see on Saturday. You will need to have your number by Wednesday, August 13 and your stuff to us by the following Wednesday, August 2o. Here's our number, 721-PLAY (7529) and our email, artplay@rushmore.com.

We were four wheeling the other day and came across a pair of these beautiful little birds. Very curious little guys, they followed us for about a 1/4 of a mile, just flying beside us most of the way. One finally stopped to pose fore the camera. Isn't he stunning?! I'm not sure what type of bird he is, so if anyone knows please get back to me with his name...he deserves the credit.
This week's MAKE N TAKE is a Glimmer Misted Tag (Kay and I already sprayed them for you) with a hand stitched butterfly (yep, that's your part). Come in and try your hand at stitching with Bazzill In Stitches templates. I love them, that add so much to a card or a layout, without going overboard. They are so much fun and such a hit, Bazzill had 8 new templates coming out soon along with their second book featuring the line, IN STITCHES 2. We have them all on pre order and we let you know as soon as they arrive. We will be doing a pre order from INKADINKADO'S BIG CATALOG, come in and browse over the catalog. Here's a great new little accordion book from Creative Imaginations that stores away in it's own little box. It would make an awesome little travel album or wonderful little album for fall. We just got in 26 colors of Bo Bunny Double Dot Cardstock. Great cardstock with a subtle dot print and on the back just a nice soft washed look of the same color. Kay and I thought this would be a fun addition to the cardstock and so far it's a hit. Everyone just oooohh's and awes over it. They are several new colors to come, too. It just adds a little more flair to a project when plain old cardstock just won't do. You gotta try em!!!

Finally, here are the pictures of the new KI MEMORIES papers. Lost them somewhere in the computer, magically reappeared this week! Weird! But anyway, great shimmery papers...just fun stuff.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention, that we will not be having any classes in August! We are going to take a bit of a breather before Fall and the Holiday season start. We just figure with the Rally and back to school, which everyone is so busy with that we would take a little break. We will continue with Make n Takes and return to classes in September, adding a couple during the week, some crops, and maybe an additional Saturday afternoon class!! too
