Blessed!

I just wanted to say how blessed I am and how thankful I am for all of you!  I never thought my special request to my former customers and friends would touch all of my amazing Facebook and Blog friends too.  Paper crafters are seriously the best people on earth!
(See post below for more details)
If you would like to send scrap supplies to help Provatia rebuild her stash after their devastating fire..you can send to this address.

Please make sure to include your return address because Provatia wants to make sure to thank each of you!  They are staying in a friend's basement until their home can be rebuilt, that is why I am requesting that supplies be in care of Chelsea's address.

A Very Special Request

I have a very special request to ask of all of my former wonderful customers and very generous friends.  A fellow scrapper in the Black Hills has lost her home and all of her scrappy supplies due to fire that happened a little over a week ago.  She is a dear friend of Chelsea's and my heart goes out to her.  I can't imagine the pain and loss, and I would be lost with out my scrap room and supplies!

Chelsea shared this adorable picture of Louis, he is two!  So very thankful no one was hurt.  We need to to get her some scrap supplies so she can begin preserving this adorable little guy's memories again!

Stacy, at the Playground has offered to collect supplies for her.  All you have to do is drop them off and she will make sure Chelsea gets them.  New or gently used, whatever you have in that amazing stash of yours! Baby Boy, Little Boy, Holidays and anything else you can think of that a scrapper needs.
Anything you could do would be greatly appreciated!

FarmHouse Paper...Never Grow Up

FarmHouse Paper Company...Never Grow Up

Hi everyone!  I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend.  I am hosting the Scraptown Lady Blog today,
creating with the Market Square line from FarmHouse Paper Company.
I had never worked with this company's product before....and oh my, is it ever splendid.
Wonderful weight and texture, amazing chipboard pieces and gorgeous flowers....a scrapper's dream come true.
I had a hard time choosing from all of the fun patterned papers, so I decided to just dig in
and use a bit of this and a bit of that.  The papers are so perfectly distressed that I did not
even ink the edges, love that!  I did use some Vintage Photo Distress Ink of the edges of the chipboard
and that's it...otherwise I just layered and played til I was pleased with it.
It has been so gloomy here that I didn't get a very good picture of it..the sun just would not cooperate.
The layout features a friend's little ones, they are just so precious at this age that I know
she wishes for them to stay little forever...Never Grow Up!

Days Like These....

I am hosting the Scrap Town Lady Blog today, my very first post on this new adventure.  Lots and lots of rain here...time for renewal and Spring beginnings.  This layout reminds of that...fresh colors and a sweet little one.  Thanks Chelsea for sharing her with me!  She is just too adorable!

Last week I received the most glorious boxes of gorgeous supplies from Scraptown Lady.  I couldn't wait to create with all of the fun product inside.  I have a couple of layouts done now and a couple of cards, too.  When you have tons of inspiration in a box it makes it easy to create and be inspired.  My first project to share with you is a layout featuring the Authentique Renew papers and My Favorite Things Dienamics Dies.  The perfect combination.
I love how easy this collection of paper layers and coordinates.  Just makes things so dang easy and of course Authentique papers have the most amazing texture. I used some kraft card stock to make the colors pop, then a little bit of layering, some help from my Silhouette Cameo and some cute little die cut flowers from a My Favorite Things Die-namics die (they cut through this thick, textured paper so easily..love that)....and I had a gorgeous layout with the sweetest little girl!

My Favorite Things Flower Trio/Leaf Trio
Kaisercraft Snow Pearls

other supplies

Wishing you a creative week~Cathy

May Inspiration Elevator Reveal

You may recall that the purpose of this challenge group is to take our scrapbooking to the next level, to stretch our creative process and to grow as artists by embracing challenges that make us think, work and grow.  Check out our new Inspiration Elevator Blog, here.

This month, our challenge comes from the talented Laura Whitaker. Laura's challenge, in her own words, is as follows:

"As we welcome spring, scrap something to do with a new beginning, it could be an opportunity, a relationship, or even the world's reawakening after it's long winter's nap. Don't forget to journal and describe why you have chosen your topic."

We would also like to welcome our May Guest Designer, Denise Morrison. Her arsty, eclectic style inspires her followers to see how "Life is Yummy" at her blog!

I hope you will stop by and see what our designers on this adventure have created:

Lisa Spiegel
Joanne Burton
Christa Uttley
Guest Designer, Denise Morrison

Such a fun and inspiring challenge from Laura!  I knew exactly what I wanted to scrap when I read this challenge and I had seen a layout that I had fallen in love with by the amazing Maggie Holmes...I just had to lift it! Here is the link to her gorgeous layout!
Maggie Holmes
And here is my layout...our new beginning!
It's been a very long journey the past 20 months, after leaving the gorgeous Black Hills to move to the prairie of Aberdeen.  Our new home represents so much love and hard work...it is our dream home..and I love it!
Thanks for joining us today at IE!
