My very first post for Moxxie

On Monday, the most fabulous box of Moxxie arrived, filled with tons of yummy product. I am thrilled to be part of the Moxxie Muse's and I couldn't wait to play!  So here is my first layout:

I had some great pictures in my stash of Leah's boys at the beach and I have been saving them for the perfect paper...and that paper arrived on Monday...At the Beach!
I used Surf's Up and Beach Bum along with the   Element Stickers and Double Sided Die Cuts.
Love the look, a bit muted and vintagey. (don't know if that is a word)
Added some subway art cut from my Silhouette, a bit of white paint, machine stitching, vintage photo distress ink and some twine!

Hope you are having a great day, thanks for taking a peek!

Inspiration Elevator

Welcome to Inspiration Elevator!
IE is a group of like minded scrappy friends who want to raise the bar in their own creative process through unique challenges that we issue to each other once a month. These won't be run of the mill challenges and we hope you will join us each month and be inspired by the innovative designs we create.
This is not a blog hop, and there are no prizes, but we would love it if you would take a few minutes to see what the rest of the Inspiration Elevator team created. We are sure you will feel inspired to get creative:

The first challenge, issued by Christa, is two-fold: to create a new design that reflects your style, and to use a new product or technique that you find inspiring right now.

Here is my take, on our first challenge on the Inspiration Elevator.  What makes it "my style and inspires me"?  Okay...I adore Kraft card stock and love to sew on almost all my cards and layouts.  Next up, I love all the new fun ideas created with Washi Tape, which these  are in my favorite color...teal or turquoise. I have been inspired lately by some team mates to try paint on my layouts too.  Last, but not least, my brand new Silhouette Cameo (my Mother's Day gift from hubby and kids) has me super inspired with the endless amount of fonts and fun, that are now right at my finger tips.

That pretty much sums it up...I had a ton of fun with our very first challenge and I am super pleased with the result!  I hope you take the ride on the Inspiration Elevator and nurture your own creative journey!  Love to hear your thoughts...this is one talented bunch on designers, please leave some love along the way.

Washi Tape

Cards with Washi Tape are up on
the Practical Scrapper Blog today.  I have fallen in love with Washi tape...so much fun and so easy to create with.
Here is my take on the challenge:
I love, love ,love all the new Queen & Company Disney Tapes...I should have bought more...lol!  Hoping to get to Disney Land this coming January, so I am sure I need to stock up.  My plan is to give this card to my daughter when we have the reservations made and all it set to go.  Love the Disney colors against the bright white Bazzill!  I laid some washi tape down on a piece of card stock and used a sizzix die to cut the star.
All of these fun Disney Products can be found at Scrappin' Ladies in Pierre!
Stop back tomorrow for some more Washi Tape and some super fun inspiration!
