Sketchy Saturday with Christine~Week 7

I love, love, love this sketch from Christine Meyer....I had so much fun with it.  I usually don't like really blocky sketches...but this fell together easily and was perfect for using
Simple Storie's A Charmed Life. All supplies for this layout are from The Scrapbooking Studio and you find A Charmed Life products on their site.   I know it would work perfectly with all of their lines and other Project Life type lines.
Make sure to check out Christine's blog here and her Facebook page here.  Both Christine and I have giveaways for becoming a follower of our blogs, leaving us a comment and/or sharing your take on one of her sketches on her Facebook page by May 15th.  You can see her prize here and here is mine...

I love this sweet photo of my friend Jessica's little girl...it is just too sweet!  Give this sketch a try and share it with us...you will love it!

A Birthday Box

Sharing a fun project today created for
The Scrapbooking Studio with Basic Grey's RSVP collection that you can find here.  It is such a fun collection and I loved creating this birthday box from Lori Whitlock.  You can find the file here on the Silhouette Store.  It is 10 inches tall and will fold flat to go in an 8x11 envelope...how cool is that?!  So they are super easy to create and super easy to mail!   In hindsight, I should have made the top of the cupcake a different color as it blends in with the back of the box here in the photo. But in real life, it really doesn't, as you can't get the whole 3-d effect here!
There are lots of these fun boxes from Lori Whitlock on the Silhouette Store.  I love them....so much fun and imagine how much fun it would be to receive one of these in the mail!
Thanks for stopping by!

Samantha Walker April Blog Hop

Welcome to the Samantha Walker Spring Blog Hop, the whole creative team is working and creating with the same cut file that you can get for free just participating in the blog hop.
You should have arrived here from the talented Diana Fisher's blog.

Leave a comment by Sunday, 04/13 at 11:59pm MDT in order to be eligible for the free SVG/Silhouette file as well as the prize...which is the

This is the free file you can receive for participating in the blog hop using the Raffle Copter entries below.

I created a fun little Easter gift to give to a very special little person.  I have been seeing lots of bunnies in jars on Pinterest and thought it would be fun to dress up the front on the jar with this gorgeous file.  I added a chocolate bunny, chocolate eggs and just a bit of crinkle paper.
Here you can see the bunny and chocolate eggs from the back!  So really it is pretty from all views.
I also created a fun little tag to add to it, I used the Cute As A Bunny file, 40150, and just the flowers from the free file to create the tag.
To create my bunny jar, I reduced the original file size by 25%...so you can see here that you type in 75%  and hit apply!
I cut the doily separately and then cut my flowers.  After cutting them, don't remove the mat...then you can create an internal offset on each flower, .080, was about the perfect distance.
After you create the internal offset, then you can change the line style.  I love to created faux stitching with my Silhouette pens.  It is so easy and it creates such a fun embellishment with ease.
Click on the picture below and it will take you right to the Silhouette Store to grab this file.
Thanks for hopping with us today and I hope you are so inspired to create with this new file.
Your next stop and final hop is Samantha Walker's Facebook page, you can click on the link above or the picture below to take you there.  Make sure to leave a comment that you hopped through!

Sketchy Saturday Week 5!

Back this week to share another fabulous sketch from
Christine Meyer.  You can find her blog here.
This week, I used the new Simple Stories Line, A Charmed Life from The Scrapbooking Studio.  An older collage photo of my kiddos being forced to wear green on St. Patrick's Day.  The things you have to do to make your Mom happy when she is a
scrap booker!  I love the added accent that using the Silhouette Sketch pens add to the back ground, just creating one more extra layer!

I really love the colors of this line, fun and fresh!  You can never go wrong with Simple Stories!
Make sure to like Christine's facebook page here, too!
