Here is my Birthday themed layout created with the fun new 

Carta Bella Summer Lovin' Collection designed by

 Samantha Walker!  I created a fun Shaker Box with Happy Birthday Phrase #35666 and a fun circle scalloped border set #9359.

Here's a close up of the shaker box...so fun and fairly easy to create!

After I cut the original file, with the Happy Birthday words and scalloped square piece, I started to create the layers needed for my shaker box.  The Happy Birthday square measures 5.219, so I created a square the exact same size.

Then I did an internal offset of that square at 0.184!

Next, group your shape and duplicate it so that you have four squares!  You will need to cut this twice, so you have a total of eight squares.  These build the layers for your shaker box and give it the depth needed for the sequins.

Glue all 8 layers together.

Then glue those 8 layers to your scalloped square.

Fill with sequins and glue on a clear plastic piece and your Happy Birthday cut piece!  There you have it, a Happy Birthday shaker box for the main embellishment on your page.  The possibilities are really endless with the technique!
