Day 12 winner and a new prize

Day 12 winner is Carla. She wins the Doodlebug Houses. A very fun and creative project, she will have a ton with it!

Day 13 prize is a tabbed acrylic album from Clear Scraps. If you haven't done a clear album yet, you really need to give it a try! Much easier that it looks and they make great mini album gifts for any occasion, birthday, new baby, Christmas!

It's a beautiful snowy day, so tell us about what you do when you get snowed in?, what snow storm do you remember most.

I don't think we are going to get snowed in, but I do love days like these for baking, crafting, movies, and games!

Remember to sign up to be a Fan of Altered Art and Scrap Playground's Facebook page and you could win a 25 dollar gift certificate to the store! Just click on the link the right!

I've only been snowed in as a kid. We usually lost power when we were snowed in, so we'd play card games. Mom had these great Kerosine lanterns that we used. If it lasted for DAYS she'd get out the camp stove and use that to cook on.

I actually LOVED getting snowed in because the family all seemed to be together and playing nicely. Not an easy feat with 6 kids.

hmm I think every winter day is a snow day-today I tried a new gingerbread recipe-have not baked them yet so no report yet. I also love to plow-both with the shovel and my snowblower-Im like crazy over my gadgets that make life simpler.

I remember one year where we had a snow drift so big in our backyard, that we made tunnels going in three different places and one big center area. i had to be really young at the time, because my sister still lived at home, and i dont remember my baby bro being there. i guess my favorite was when school was cancelled. now when work closes... i am a wimp now. i wonder where Ellie gets her love of the snow.. and this whole facebook thing~ do ya gotta confuse me???

We were snowed in when my daughter was about 9 and son was 2. We got together with our neighbors and all went sledding down our hill. Brought out the kid in all of us.

I can remember being snowed in when I was a kid and we missed a lot of school. We played dolls with our doll houses and read stories. Once when our oldest was 2 1/2 our car was buried and our son climbed up the snow on top of the car and knocked on the kitchen window as I washed dishes. (He's 32 now) My poor husband shoveled it all by himself. We played board games a lot too. Nancy Schurger

I work on my supply of cards to keep on hand - and watch it snow! When I was a kid we got snowed in for a couple of days one time - for some reason we still had power when most didn't - so we had our porch light on. Some guys car had broken down near by and he saw the light and walked to it. He spent 2 days with us.
