Day 18 winner and a new prize

Congrats...finally, to Leah! You win! I kind of feel bad knowing that you have two little boys, that you won the flowers! I guess, you will just have to use them on your cards and such, since you promised not to regift! All of you crack me up!

Today's prize a Maya Road Vintage Purse Album: One of my very favorite companies! Love everything they do! Almost all their stuff is chipboard, fantastic designs, they are just great! All though, it doesn't sell well here! I would love to carry tons of their product, and I will be bringing in their Maya Mist, kind of like Glimmer Mist, but more vibrant! Just to change things up a bit in the New Year!
So today's question, not a Christmas one, what discourages you from creating with Chipboard? Would you like to learn more ways of using chipboard, different techniques? Check out Maya Road's website, tell me what you would like to see in the store? http://www.mayaroad.net/?main_page=index. They have tons of mini albums, some stamps, lots of trinkets....you name it they've got it!

Yes! Some of us love everything Maya Road and all their fab chipboard! Is it that it takes some time to finish the pieces, that some people shy a way from it!!!

Maybe you will win today! Not too many comments!
Where's my eggnog bread??!?!

I rarely use it because I have problems covering it without the edges looking sloppy. I probably need some classes to learn to use it right!

I made a chipboard album for my sister last year for Christmas but could defineately use a class or two.

I tend to not use it because I think it won't be mailable in a regular envelope. I checked out Maya Road - I liked some of the single stamps - liked the trees and the bunnies. The ribbon looked pretty cool, too.

I dont use chipboard mostly because it is thick and I dont feel like taking the time to cut it! It is also hard to cover.

I checked out the site. Really nice. I never have done anything with chipboard. Wouldn't mind taking a class to learn about it. Maybe Cathy will have one and I can learn about it. Thanks for the make and take Cathy. You know Cathy when Mo dropped me off so I could do some "Make and Bake" as he called it--well later my daughter called and I heard him tell her I had gone to your store to do a "Bake and Shake". Either his hearing is getting worse or he only listens to me half way. Thanks for the make and takes. Sidney was excited. Nancy Schurger

LOVE Maya Road, and LOVE LOVE LOVE chipboard. i love all of the different ways that you can use chipboard. emboss it, cover it with paper, ink it, paint it, tie an embellishment to it, use of variety of these techniques on it. i love the dimension that it gives. make it yours. and make the purse mine!!! thanks cathy for the way cool embossing folders, when i get my machine back, maybe i will be able to use them, or maybe i will have to order a big shot..PINK??????
if any of you want some classes on chipboard, just let cathy know what you want to do: book, or different techniques with just shapes or letters, and i would LOVE to come down and show ya all!!

Oh, I LOVE chipboard.
So, I can't say I am discouraged from using it, though I am looking for ways to organize it a bit better. Any ideas?
Kara
And, I love Maya Road!

Peyton's Mom,
I too am waiting for my eggnog bread. Even if I am not considered a "GOOD friend" I think I should get some.
I don't know if you noticed last time I saw you, but I plucked a strand of hair from you and have since brought it home to make a "Lori doll." Now, I have all the power, with the stab of a straight pin. Ha ha... evil laugh.

I don't even need to sign this, because I bet you know who I am...
mwah ha ha ha..
