Day 8 winner and a new prize

Congratulations to Kara, she's the winner of the Kaisercraft clock! Very fun, it's a fun project and a great gift!
Today's prize is the December Issue of Cards Magazine from Northridge Media! These are the greatest magazines out there! Very little advertising and tons of inspiration! I am always delighted with each of their wonderful magazines! The January one's should be arriving any day! Exciting stuff!
Today's question: Do you open your gifts on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day with your family?
As a child, we always opened our gifts on Christmas Eve, it was always a magical night. My brother and I are truly blessed with the world's greatest parents! We always had chili and the adults had Oyster Stew! EeWWW!
When I got married, my husband's tradition had always been to open on Christmas morning! So we compromise a little, the kid's get to open one gift on Christmas Eve and the rest Christmas morning!
Leave a comment and you could win!!!

Yay, I won! I just did a happy dance.
Thank you so much.
So, for today's question, we have always opened one present on Christmas Eve, and the rest on Christmas morning. We added St. Nikolaus coming on Dec 6th to fill the kids shoes with treats when we were in Germany. Its fun, and kind of keeps the kids at bay. Also, I've learned not to put stuff out too early because the kids are super gift guessers!

Ha it's a huge fight w/ my parents on when we open. It's supposed to be every other year we open on Christmas Eve but what a mess. Frankly I don't care when we open, there aren't any little kids in the family anymore so Santa can come hang out and have a glass of wine with us now.

We actually have THREE family get-togethers-one for my side, one for his side and then ours. It encompasses Christmas Eve, Christmas and the next weekend after Christmas. Too much stimulation!

Don't add me again, but who thinks we should take up a collection of fabric so we can hot glue some jammies for Kendra's kids?

Our gifts depend on when we can get the family together, but we too do soup on Christmas Eve - no oysters though! We have vegetable cheese, chili and chicken noodle. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!

We do both because of the kids-in- laws. As a kid it was always Christmas Eve & then Santa gifts in the morning. Now I just want to watch my grandkids enjoy the surprises!

Happy Holidays....Way into the gift bussiness.. My birthday is the 18th, grandson's is the 15th, my brother's is the 23rd and our nephew's is the 24th so we have extended parties and never are short changed Bday presents for our parents good planning!...
When I was a kid, it was Christmas day (Santa thing too!ya) when our kids were small, we had lots of places and parites to cover but opened Christmas Eve for exchange gifts and Christmas morning for Santa and our family gifts!
Now we work it out, when the most can be here and then still open gifts Christmas Eve and dinner Christmas Day. Menu varies, but my hubby loves oyster stew and raised oyster loves, not all but everyone bring their favorites! So always something new to try!! Theresa

We open our gifts on Christmas Morning, but as a child it was Christmas Eve as we spent Christmas day at our Grandparents houses.

Both my husband and I got to open presents on Christmas Eve. So we have always done the same with our children. Then when they wake up on Christmas morning Santa would have come during the night and fill our stockings and leave his gifts to each of us under the tree. So much fun. We made sure our children always knew the real meaning of the season. When I grew up we always went to midnight mass. I can't stay awake that long now so we go on Christmas Day. Nancy Schurger
